INNOVATION IN THE SPOTLIGHT

A solid company like ours has managed to emerge and establish itself by leveraging research and technological innovation. In practice, this has translated into continuous experimentation with cutting-edge materials and relentless work in formulation, development, testing, and acquisition of patents for exclusive and high-performance technologies and construction solutions.

PROJECT AND PRODUCTION AUTONOMY

Following significant investments for direct management of projects and their related production processes, we have achieved corporate autonomy that allows us to enhance, innovate, and control the quality of our products. These objectives involve a team of 40 professionals divided between the internal research laboratory and the modern industrial plant that produces over 500,000 pieces annually, each individually verified and guaranteed.

A CONTROLLED SUPPLY CHAIN

Stringent quality control procedures, careful selection of raw materials, tests at the end of each process phase, and complete traceability of every production step are the necessary prerequisites for introducing a final product to the market that meets all specified requirements.

INSPIRED BY EXTREME

"Inspired by extreme" is an operational philosophy that leads to a global rethinking of the holster's role and functions. It's a re-engineering project that involves the entire production chain, from our R&D laboratory to external collaborations with security operators worldwide. Radar 1957 holsters are crafted with premium raw materials, adopting the most advanced construction solutions and technical innovations, and must undergo rigorous resistance tests before being commercialized.

1957
A COMPANY IN ITS BEGINNINGS

In 1957, entrepreneur Gisberto Pellegrini founded Radar 1957, initially dedicating himself to tanning and leather manufacturing, an art with ancient roots in Tuscany, passed down since the mid-1800s by Master Leatherworkers. The merging of tradition and modern technologies gave rise to a robust industrial reality, capable of enhancing artisanal work by producing functional products of high manufacturing quality.

1962
EXPANSION OF PRODUCTION

Thanks to the foresight of various entrepreneurial choices, in 1962, the activity expanded to the production of hand-finished articles for short firearms, ranging from equipment for armed forces to accessories dedicated to the military, sports, and hunting sectors.

1984
DEVELOPMENT OF CORDURA PRODUCTS

Over the course of the 1980s, in response to market changes, the production of holsters for short firearms developed using materials alternative to leather, such as Cordura, capable of ensuring better performance requirements. In the subsequent 1990s, with the introduction of thermoforming, a flexible production of high-performance and customizable products was initiated.

2000
DEVELOPMENT OF KYDEX PRODUCTS

The use of polymeric materials such as ABS and Kydex has allowed for the enhancement of the performance capabilities of retention systems integrated into the products, once again demonstrating the company's adaptability to new technological discoveries and market changes.

2015
RADAR IN 3 WORDS: EXPERIENCE, EVOLUTION, INNOVATION

In recent years, production has expanded to include injection molding, using various materials according to needs, such as nylon 6.6, fire-resistant PVC blend, polycarbonate, and carbon polymer granules.

2023
SAFARILAD GROUP

In 1957, Radar becomes part of the prestigious SAFARILAND family.
